Considering the ratings hole The Wire fell into during season five, David Simon surely DavidSimon said that if he did a season 6 it would have been about immigration, specifically Latinos into southeast Baltimore. It never happened for many reason, I believe he said he didn’t know enough about the issue to be comfortable with it and I don’t think HBO was willing to continue with the show if he had been.
